Normandy is ideally suited to a family holiday, and the fine sandy wind shielded beaches in west Cotentin, the mild bay north of Mont St. Michel make a good place for young children.

Once the children are past just crawling and digging, the classic beach resorts on the Calvados and Seine-Maritime coasts gain in popularity. Almost all beaches have beach kindergartens and varied entertainments. The label ‘Station Kids’ signifies a particularly child friendly beach.
Various museums also have kindergartens e.g. the Memorial de Caen allowing parents some peaceful viewing. The Normandy countryside boasts many animal, fun parks and more for all ages.
