Lisieux guideLisieux is east of Caen, another town which suffered heavily during WWII. It has lost many of its fine wooden houses, though some survived and these days it is best known for the Basilique de Ste Thérèse with its mosaics and which was completed in the 1950s. To the north is the small town of Pont l’Evêque the home of the strong cheese of the same name. |
