capital of Europe. Today the lace school survives but the industry itself
has long since departed and Alençon is now the centre of manufacture
for Moulinex. The Eglise Notre Dame is flamboyant gothic and the tourist office is in the 15th century Maison d’Ozé. North of Alençon is Sées with its 13-14th century gothic cathedral.
